
Fatal head-on collision on Route 23 in Morris County claims life of passenger
RIVERDALE BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) — A fatal motor vehicle crash occurred late Monday night in Morris County, involving a head-on collision between a 2005 Toyota Camry and a 2021 Ford F-150, according to Meghan Knab, Public Information Officer for the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
The crash happened on Oct. 15 at around 11:00 p.m. on Route 23 North in Riverdale Borough, Knab said.
A passenger in the Camry was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment. The Ford F-150 had no passengers, Knab reported.
The driver of the Ford was taken to Riverdale Police headquarters and later transported to Chilton Hospital, Knab added.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, conducted by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, the Riverdale Police Department, and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office. No further information is available at this time, Knab stated.
