Firefighters extinguish house fire in Warren County

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) — Firefighters extinguished a house fire in Washington Township Tuesday afternoon.

The fire was reported around 12:17 p.m. at a residence in the 100 block of Hartman’s Corner Road.

First-arriving fire crews encountered heavy smoke and flames inside the home. A 1st Box Alarm and Tender Task Force 1 were requested to assist with the response.

Firefighters from several area departments aided in fire suppression, ventilation, and overhaul efforts, including the Washington Fire Department, Washington Emergency Squad, Good Will Fire Company, Oxford Volunteer Fire Department, Franklin Twp Fire & EMS, Mountain Lake Fire Company, and Glen Gardner Fire Company.

The cause of the fire was not immediately clear, and it was unclear if there were any injuries.
