WHARTON BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – The New Jersey Lottery launched its Jersey Cash 5 Green Ball promotion on Monday, Nov. 6, and the first Green Ball was drawn following the Wednesday, Nov. 8, Jersey Cash 5 drawing.
Because the Green Ball was drawn, all players with tickets for Wednesday night’s drawing were given a free second chance as the Jersey Cash 5 machine was reset and numbers were drawn again for the Green Ball drawing.
Even better, one lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $100,000 Green Ball jackpot.
The winning Green Ball ticket was sold at Krauszer’s of Wharton, located at 321 State Route 15, in Wharton Borough.
The Green Ball numbers were: 14, 16, 21, 37 and 44. The XTRA number was 05.
An additional 54 players had four out of five numbers for the Green Ball drawing, and won $559. Those tickets with the XTRA add-on won $2,795.
There were no winning tickets sold for the Jersey Cash 5 regular drawing Wednesday night, which has rolled to $408,000 for tonight’s drawing.
The winning numbers for the Jersey Cash 5 regular drawing on Wednesday, November 8, were: 21, 26, 36, 39 and 45. The XTRA number was 04. The Green Ball machine has also been reset, and now contains six white balls and one Green Ball.
The Lottery reminds players that all Jersey Cash 5 tickets for the promotional period are eligible to win Green Ball prizes, no additional purchase is necessary. The promotion runs from November 6 through December 3.
“Congratulations to our first Jersey Cash 5 Green Ball winner! We hope this incredible prize brings joy and happiness to the player; it’s exciting to see players get a free second chance on their tickets!” said New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey.
