First responders hold tactical medical rescue vessel boarding training on Lake Hopatcong

LAKE HOPATCONG, NJ – The New Jersey State Police Marine Services Bureau, in collaboration with the Morris County Sheriff’s Department, Jefferson Police Department, Roxbury Police Department, Mt. Arlington Police Department, Hopatcong Police Department, Jefferson Fire Department, and Jefferson EMS recently conducted a tactical medical rescue vessel boarding training exercise on the “Miss Lotta” vessel.

The exercise, which took place on Lake Hopatcong, involved a simulated response to various emergency scenarios, including a medical emergency and a domestic dispute, state police said.

The goal was to train personnel in real-life conditions to enhance their response capabilities and coordination during critical incidents, state police said.

This comprehensive training exercise not only increased public safety on Lake Hopatcong but also strengthened cooperation and teamwork among the local, county, and state law enforcement agencies involved, state police said.
