Flagger-controlled travel possible at Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge Jan. 28–30

FRENCHTOWN BOROUGH, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Motorists crossing the Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge may experience periodic delays later this week due to scheduled work related to a recent bridge rehabilitation project.

Flagger-controlled alternating traffic in a single lane is possible between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Wednesday, Jan. 28, through Friday, Jan. 30, while workers complete remaining project elements or troubleshoot systems and connections at or near the bridge.

The work will be performed by a subcontractor for the commission, officials said.

Motorists are urged to reduce speeds, be prepared to stop, and follow flagger instructions whenever travel restrictions are in effect.

The scheduled traffic stoppages are subject to change due to weather conditions, emergencies, or other unforeseen factors.
