Hackettstown Community Day set for June 6
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — The Hackettstown Business Improvement District will host Hackettstown Community Day on Saturday, June 6, bringing a full day of family-friendly entertainment, contests, vendors and activities to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.
The event will run from noon to 8 p.m. at the Arthur Sheldon Recreation Field on Warren Street. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, from noon to 6 p.m.
This year’s Community Day will feature an old-fashioned country fair theme, with attractions and activities for residents and visitors of all ages.
Among the highlights are “Hackettstown’s Got Talent,” sponsored by The Strand Studios, and “Dancing with the Local Stars,” sponsored by Classic Ballroom Dance Studio. “Dancing with the Local Stars,” sponsored by Classic Ballroom Dance Studio, will be held June 5 and feature local business and community leaders as contestants. Additional attractions include a Mars Wrigley candy giveaway, the Hackettstown Medical Center tent, food and retail vendors, games, contests and family activities throughout the day.
Organizers said attendees can enjoy hot dog and wing eating contests, baking competitions, a dunk tank and other interactive events. The Kid’s Zone will feature a zip line, Ninja Warrior obstacle course, Toxic Melt Down course, rock wall and bungee trampoline. The event will also include a World Cup “Kickoff” Area.
Loyalty cards will be available for purchase and can be used at participating Hackettstown BID businesses for discounts and special promotions. A QR code on each card will direct users to a list of participating businesses and offers, which will be updated throughout the year.
Hackettstown Community Day is organized by the Hackettstown Business Improvement District and is designed to showcase local businesses while providing a day of entertainment and community engagement.
