Hackettstown Council adopts ordinance to reallocate funding for fire apparatus purchase

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The Hackettstown Mayor and Council have adopted an ordinance reallocating the funding sources for the purchase of a fire apparatus in the town.

The ordinance, approved at the Council’s meeting on December 30, 2024, amends the funding breakdown initially set forth in Ordinance #2024-18.

The original ordinance allocated a total of $883,030 for the fire apparatus purchase, with funds sourced from three areas: the Capital Improvement Fund ($49,200), ARP Reserve ($483,830), and Fire Truck Reserve ($350,000).

However, due to the completion of several projects and the availability of additional ARP funds amounting to $15,066.49, the funding allocation has been adjusted.

The new distribution is as follows:

  • Capital Improvement Fund: $34,133.39
  • ARP Reserve: $498,896.61
  • Fire Truck Reserve: $350,000
