Hackettstown’s Halloween Downtown Event to be held on Oct. 26

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The 11th annual Hackettstown Halloween Downtown Event will be held on Oct. 26..

The Halloween Downtown Event will take place on Saturday, October 26, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Gazebo, located at the corner of Main Street and West Moore Street.

The parade lineup begins at 2:00 p.m. at Centenary University on West Moore Street, between Beatty Street and Second Avenue. Judging will conclude at around 2:50 p.m., and the winners will be selected to lead the parade.

The parade begins at 3:00 p.m. at Centenary University, proceeds down West Moore Street, and ends at the Main Street Gazebo, where kids will be able to receive candy from Mars Wrigley, a gift from Hackettstown Stormwater Management, Atlantic Health System/Hackettstown Medical Center, Wawa, and WRNJ Radio, as well as a free pumpkin from Donaldson Farms (all while supplies last).

Prizes will be awarded for the best costume in the following categories:

  • Infant to 3 years old
  • 4 to 6 years old
  • 7 to 10 years old
  • Family
  • Pet (Any Age)

After the parade, kids will have the opportunity to trick-or-treat at downtown businesses and participate in trunk-or-treating from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the rear parking lot of Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 213 Main Street.

The event is sponsored by the Hackettstown Police Department and co-sponsored by Mars Wrigley/Mars, Incorporated, Centenary University, the Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID), Atlantic Health System/Hackettstown Medical Center, WRNJ Radio, Donaldson Farms, and Wawa.
