Hackettstown’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is this Sunday

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – The 16th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Hackettstown will take place on Sunday, March 9, 2025, and promises to be one of the biggest events of the year, drawing thousands of visitors to the town.

This beloved Irish-American tradition will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Main Street, featuring a lively lineup of participants, including Irish dance groups, local bands, bagpipes, and drums, as well as teams and clubs from Centenary University and Hackettstown High School.

The parade will also showcase surrounding area fire departments, rescue squads, and local favorites such as the Junior and Senior Colonial Musketeers and the Hackettstown Community Band. The vibrant celebration will highlight the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, with plenty of local pride on display as the community comes together to honor Irish heritage.

New this year: A Quiet Sensory-Friendly Zone will be available between W. Plane and Center Streets, offering a peaceful space for those sensitive to loud noises. Look for the bright green signs to find the location.

For animal lovers, the parade will be pet-friendly, offering a special Irish Costume Contest for pets sponsored by Doggie Styleash. The contest will take place at Czig Meister Brewing, located at 106 Valentine St., starting at 3:30 p.m. sharp. After the judging, pets will be invited to join the parade and march alongside their owners.

In the lead-up to the parade, the Hackettstown Business Improvement District will host a Grand Marshal Reception to honor Mrs. Mary Litweiler, the 2025 St. Patrick’s Parade Grand Marshal. The reception, which kicks off the Parade weekend, will feature a live performance by the Rory O’Moore School of Pipes and Drums, as well as a dance performance by the Slattery School of Irish Dance.
