Head-on collision in Sussex County leaves two drivers injured

MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) — A head-on crash in Sussex County left two drivers injured Friday morning, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash occurred around 7:53 a.m. on County Route 521 South, near milepost 4, in Montague Township, Lebron said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a head-on collision occurred between two passenger vehicles, resulting in a third vehicle striking debris from the initial crash, Lebron added.

The drivers of the two vehicles involved in the head-on collision sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and no other injuries were reported, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation, and authorities have not released additional information.
