Heath Village to host consumer fraud seminar June 26

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Heath Village will host a free seminar, “Don’t Get Scammed, Consumer Fraud Seminar,” on Thursday, June 26, at 2 p.m., aimed at helping residents recognize and avoid common scams.

The event will feature speakers Melanie Hazim, director of outreach at the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, and Washington Township Detective Frank Giaquinto. The presentation will cover topics including IRS phone scams, grandparent scams, and identity theft. Attendees will also receive tips on how to protect themselves and what steps to take if they believe they have been targeted.

Light refreshments will be provided. Although the event is free, an RSVP is required. Residents may register or request more information by calling 908-684-5009.

Heath Village is a full-service retirement community located at 430 Schooley’s Mountain Road in Washington Township, Morris County.
