Man sentenced to state prison for unlawfully distributing LSD in Sussex County

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A New York man was sentenced to state prison for unlawfully distributing LSD in Montague Township, according to Acting Sussex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray.

Charles M. DeFalco, 31, of Washingtonville was sentenced on Feb. 23 before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton, Murray said.

DeFalco was sentenced to state prison for a period of 5 years with a credit for 2 days jail already served. He must submit a DNA sample and pay $2,205 in mandatory fees and penalties, Murray said.

DeFalco pled guilty to second-degree unlawful distribution of LSD and in pleading guilty, he admitted to unlawfully distributing LSD in Montague Township on May 17, 2023, Murray said.

Detective Sean Sullivan of the New Jersey State Police investigated this matter.

DeFalco was represented by Jorge Morales, Esq., and the State was represented by Special Deputy Attorney General and Acting Assistant Prosecutor Jerome Neidhardt.
