Hunterdon Central basketball teams raise $750 for cancer center at Pink Out game

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon Central Regional High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams raised $750 for the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center during a recent “Pink Out” game aimed at supporting local cancer patients.

Students, families and community members filled the stands dressed in pink to show their support, transforming the game into a fundraiser for cancer care services in Hunterdon County.

School officials said the funds will go directly toward essential services and patient support at the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, which provides treatment and resources for individuals and families facing cancer.

Organizers said the event demonstrated how school athletics can unite the community around a shared cause beyond competition.

The Pink Out initiative is part of a broader effort by schools nationwide to raise awareness and funds for cancer research and patient support.
