Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce honors 2025 business award winners at annual celebration

HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ — The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce proudly honored the recipients of the 2025 Hunterdon County Business Awards at a breakfast celebration held on Wednesday, April 16, at Razberry’s Banquet Center in Frenchtown Borough.

This year, 13 businesses and individuals were honored for their exceptional contributions to Hunterdon County’s economic vitality, community spirit, and leadership. Award categories included Hunterdon County Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Good Neighbor of the Year, Woman Business & Community Leader, Governmental Service Award, Young Professionals Award, Tourism Partner Award, Special Recognition Awards, and the Amazing Kids in Business Awards.

“The Annual Business Awards Breakfast was a true celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit and community leadership that define Hunterdon County,” said Chris Phelan, President and CEO of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce. “Our honorees represented the very best in business innovation, service, and commitment to making Hunterdon County an extraordinary place to live, work, and visit. We were honored to recognize their achievements and contributions.”

Hunterdon County Deputy Director Shaun C. Van Doren and Commissioner Jeff Kuhl attended the event, alongside County Clerk Mary Melfi. Deputy Director Van Doren stated, “On behalf of the entire Commissioner Board, I would like to share that we are excited to celebrate today’s honorees for the well-deserved recognition they have earned.”

Commissioner Kuhl added, “Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce does an outstanding job of showcasing the importance of our small business community. My colleagues and I look forward to continuing to work with the Chamber to foster new opportunities that help local businesses grow and thrive.”

D.J. Wright, Chairman of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, commented, “Our Honorees celebrate the spirit of innovation, resilience, and community that defines Hunterdon County. The businesses, organizations, and leaders we honor exemplify the highest standards of excellence and service.”

The 2025 Award Recipients were:

  • Hunterdon County Business of the Year: Norris McLaughlin, P.A. Attorneys at Law
  • Entrepreneur of the Year: Mark Drabich, Metropolitan Seafood
  • Good Neighbor of the Year: Victoria A. Davis, Have Adding Machine Will Travel
  • Woman Business & Community Leader: Angela Fields, Family Promise of Hunterdon
  • Governmental Service Award: James Robinson, Coldwell Banker Commercial
  • Young Professionals Award: Jess Huber, America’s Grow-A-Row
  • Special Recognition: Hunterdon Partnership for Health (30th Anniversary)
  • Special Recognition: NORWESCAP (60th Anniversary)
  • Special Recognition: Hunters Helping the Hungry (25th Anniversary)
  • Tourism Partner Award: Black River Railroad Historical Trust
  • Amazing Kids in Business Award: Ayaan Jain – Teens2Table.com, Kevin Zhang – Aetherstar, and P.J. Muir – Gravyman

Attorneys at Law, highlighted outstanding contributions to the Hunterdon business community. Jay Edwards

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
