Hackettstown to begin road milling and paving Aug. 4; closures and parking restrictions expected

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Hackettstown will conduct road milling on Monday, Aug. 4, followed by paving on Wednesday, Aug. 6, on several streets, officials announced this week.

The work will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., weather permitting. Residents and commuters should expect full road closures, parking restrictions, and limited access to the NJ Transit station during the project.

The impacted roadways include:

  • Fourth Avenue (entire length)
  • Beatty Street (West Moore St. to Railroad Tracks)
  • Maple Avenue (East Plane St. to Lafayette St.)
  • Sharp Street (Cook St. to Miller St.)

To accommodate the work, all vehicles must be removed from affected streets by 6:30 a.m. on workdays. Residents who need to use their vehicles during construction hours are advised to move them out of driveways before 6:30 a.m. Access will be restored after barricades are removed at the end of each day.

Limited access will be available to the NJ Transit station; drivers are encouraged to park on Valentine Street if needed. Motorists are also advised to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time due to full road closures.
