Hunterdon County man accused of child endangerment after welfare check at Camelback Resort

POCONO TOWNSHIP, PA (Monroe County) – A Hunterdon County man is facing several charges following a welfare check at Camelback Resort in Pocono Township, according to police.

On March 3, officers were dispatched to Camelback Resort for a welfare check on Casey Simms, 48, of Milford Borough, and his 9-year-old son, police said.

Upon locating Simms in his hotel room, officers found him to be heavily intoxicated. Simms became aggressive towards officers and was subsequently arrested, police said.

He was charged with endangering the welfare of children, harassment, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness, police said.

Simms was transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility to await arraignment, police added.
