Hunterdon County prosecutor marks graduation of detective from state investigators academy

FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson and Chief of Detectives Timothy J. Drew on Tuesday attended the graduation of Detective Kayla Morales from the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice Academy in Sea Girt.

Morales completed the academy’s 20-week Basic Course for Investigators, a program that provides foundational training for criminal investigations. The curriculum includes firearms instruction, search and seizure, criminal law enforcement techniques, defensive tactics, and physical conditioning. The course is designed to prepare investigators for the successful investigation, apprehension, and prosecution of criminal offenders.

Morales is a graduate of Centenary University. Before attending the academy, she served as a victim witness advocate with the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office.
