Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office swears in new detective

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office has hired a new detective who was sworn into his position on Monday, announced Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson and Chief of Detectives Tim Drew announced Tuesday.

Detective Christopher Bourque was sworn in by Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson before family, friends, and HCPO staff.

Detective Bourque is currently assigned to the Grand Jury Unit.

Prior to joining HCPO, Detective Bourque was a Police Officer with the Lebanon Township Police Department since 2021.  He has also served as a Police Officer with the Princeton University Department of Public Safety and as a Special Police Officer with the Sea Isle City Police Department.

Detective Bourque completed his police training at the Cape May County Police Academy and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business from Stockton University.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
