Hunterdon County Senior Center hosts annual Valentine’s Day lunch, music celebration

HUNTERDON COUNTY, N.J. — The Hunterdon County Senior Center hosted its annual Valentine’s Day music and lunch celebration Friday, bringing together older residents for an afternoon of food, entertainment and socializing.

Hunterdon County Commissioner Jeff Kuhl joined county staff in welcoming senior center members to the Feb. 13 event, which featured live music and a holiday-themed luncheon.

The gathering was open to county residents ages 65 and older and provided an opportunity for attendees to connect with friends and fellow community members in a festive setting.

“Our Senior Center plays an important role in keeping seniors active, engaged, and connected,” said Commissioner Kuhl. “Events like this Valentine’s Day celebration create meaningful opportunities for residents to socialize, enjoy great entertainment, and build a strong sense of community. We are proud to continue supporting programs that enhance the lives of our senior residents.”

Music for the celebration was provided by musician Ed Jankiewicz, who performed a mix of pop, rock and folk songs from the 1950s through the 1980s.

Lunch included pasta served with bread and salad, along with coffee, tea and lemonade. Kuhl also contributed chocolate-covered pretzels to the dessert selection.

Senior programs and events are open to Hunterdon County residents age 60 and older who are enrolled as senior center members. For more information about upcoming events or how to register, residents may call 908-788-1361.
