Hunterdon County Senior Center to host wireless technology workshop for seniors

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Senior Center will host an educational program focused on wireless technology later this month as part of its ongoing efforts to support and engage older residents.

During the Feb. 3 meeting of the Hunterdon County Board of County Commissioners, Commissioner Shaun C. Van Doren, the board’s liaison to the Senior Center, highlighted several upcoming programs designed for county seniors, including the technology workshop.

The Senior Center’s Helpdesk Volunteers will present a Tech Talk on wireless technology on Thursday, Feb. 12. The session will explain how wireless technology works and how it is used in everyday devices, offering practical information to help seniors stay connected and navigate modern technology. Registration is required and can be completed by calling 908-788-1359.

“Innovative educational programs like this, offered by our staff and volunteers at the Senior Center, ensure that our seniors can expand their knowledge and use of wireless technology in their everyday lives and keep up with changing technology in a supportive environment,” Van Doren said.

The Hunterdon County Senior Center regularly offers programs and workshops aimed at enhancing quality of life, encouraging lifelong learning and promoting independence among older adults.
