Hunterdon Health urgent care centers earn national accreditation
HUNTERDON COUNTY, N.J. — Hunterdon Health announced its urgent care centers in Flemington and Raritan have received accreditation from the Urgent Care Association, a designation recognizing quality and patient care standards in urgent care medicine.
According to Hunterdon Health, the accreditation is considered the highest level of distinction awarded to urgent care centers and reflects standards related to patient care, safety, staffing, governance and operational performance.
The accreditation process evaluates areas including governance, human resources, patient care procedures, quality improvement, health record management, patient privacy and facility operations. Accreditation is awarded on a three-year basis.
Hunterdon Health said its urgent care centers provide treatment for non-emergency medical conditions such as cuts, burns, sprains and fractures that require prompt attention but do not require an emergency room visit.
The centers accept walk-in patients and offer services including X-rays, laboratory testing, casting and suturing.
Hunterdon Health officials said the accreditation reflects the organization’s commitment to providing high-quality, accessible care while helping bridge the gap between primary care offices and hospital emergency departments.
The Flemington and Raritan urgent care centers are open seven days a week and also provide Department of Transportation physicals and sports and camp physicals without appointments, according to Hunterdon Health.
