Kean co-sponsored Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act passes House
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act passed the House of Representative on Thursday in a bipartisan vote.
Representative Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07), co-sponsored this bill that provides $14.3 billion in emergency supplemental appropriations to provide military assistance to Israel and to ensure the safe return of American citizens impacted by the attacks on Israel.
“The United States must deliver support to Israel as they respond to the pure evil that Hamas has unleashed on their country. This funding is a crucial step,” Kean said. “Today the House sent a powerful message that we will stand strong with our ally Israel and its right to defend itself.”
On Oct. 7, Hamas initiated a terrorist attack on the people of Israel. Since then, this conflict has resulted in thousands injured or killed, and over 200 people are still held hostage by Hamas.
Congressman Kean is an original cosponsor for H.Res. 771, Standing with Israel as it defends itself against the barbaric war launched by Hamas and other terrorists.
