Kean opens FY2027 Community Project Funding request process for 7th District

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Rep. Tom Kean Jr., R-N.J., on Monday announced the launch of his fiscal year 2027 Community Project Funding request form for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District.

Under guidelines set by the House Appropriations Committee, each member of Congress may submit up to 20 Community Project Funding, or CPF, requests for consideration.

The CPF process allows members to seek direct federal funding for projects benefiting their districts. Requests must meet eligibility, ethics and transparency standards and are limited to state, local, tribal and territorial governments, as well as certain nonprofit organizations. Applicants must also demonstrate strong community support and document the need for the proposed project.

The deadline to submit FY2027 CPF requests varies by project. Applications are due either by 5 p.m. Friday, March 6, or by 5 p.m. Friday, March 13.

Detailed guidance on the FY2027 CPF appropriations process is available on Kean’s website. Local governments, municipalities and eligible nonprofit organizations must submit funding requests through the online application form.

Questions may be directed to Kean’s Washington office at (202) 225-5361.
