Liberty Township Community Day set for Aug. 16 with live music, games, food and fireworks

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Warren County) —  Liberty Township’s annual Community Day will bring residents and visitors together for a full day of celebration on Saturday, August 16, featuring live music, games, contests, food, and fireworks at the Mt. Lake Fire Company, 99 Tamarack Road.

Festivities begin at 2:30 p.m. and continue through 8:30 p.m., offering a packed schedule of events and entertainment for all ages. The event is free and open to the public, with free parking available.

Live performances include Rich Berry from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by the Bobby Clark Band playing until 8:00 p.m. The evening concludes with a fireworks display over Mountain Lake at 8:30 p.m.

The day’s featured activities include:

  • 2:30 p.m. – Mt. Lake Kayak Race, sponsored by the Mt. Lake Community Association (MLCA), near the fishing pier
  • 3:00 p.m. – First band performance begins; games and amusements open and run until 7:30 p.m.
  • 3:30 p.m. – Poker Stroll; registration at the Recreation Table
  • 4:30 p.m. – Water Balloon Toss; registration also at the Recreation Table
  • 5:00 p.m. – Hot Dog Eating Contest at the Main Stage
  • 6:00 p.m. – Rosenkrans Presentation and prize announcements

Additional highlights include vendors, amusements, food and drinks for sale, and activities coordinated by the Mountain Lake Fire Company, Ladies Auxiliary, and Mt. Lake Community Association.

In case of rain, the event will be held on Sunday, August 17.
