Man accused of exposing himself, harassing women at Bridgewater Commons Mall

BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — A Bound Brook man was arrested after police said he exposed himself and harassed multiple female patrons inside the Bridgewater Commons Mall on Tuesday evening.

Bridgewater Township police responded to the mall at approximately 7:03 p.m. July 14 after receiving reports of a man harassing female patrons and exposing himself inside the shopping center.

With assistance from mall security, officers quickly located and identified the suspect as 23-year-old Josue Orellana of Bound Brook.

According to police, an investigation determined Orellana allegedly exposed himself to and harassed multiple female victims ranging in age from 14 to 25.

Orellana was charged with three counts of fourth-degree harassment and one count of lewdness, a disorderly persons offense. He was then lodged in the Morris County Jail pending his initial court appearance.

Bridgewater police thanked mall security personnel for their prompt response and cooperation, which officers said helped them quickly locate and apprehend the suspect.
