MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A man was arrested early Thursday morning after a traffic stop led to charges of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and child neglect in Mount Olive Township, according to police.
On No. 22, at around 12:04 a.m., a police sergeant was driving through the ITC Mall complex when he allegedly observed a Honda minivan nearly collide with his patrol vehicle by crossing over the center line, police said.
The sergeant initiated a stop in the area of Famous Footwear. As the officer approached the vehicle, he witnessed the driver and passenger switch places, police said.
