Man charged with DWI, leaving scene of crash in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is facing several charges including driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a crash in Denville Township.

On Friday, Jan. 12, at around 5:03 p.m., police received a report of a motor vehicle crash with property damage in the parking lot of A & R Design, police said.

Police stopped the vehicle and it was determined that the driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Jason Lorenz, 45, of Ledgewood, was allegedly driving while intoxicated, police said.

Lorenz was arrested and charged with DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of a crash, and failure to report. He was then released to a sober adult pending a court appearance, police said.
