Man charged with invasion of privacy in Mount Olive case

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Succasunna man has been charged after police said he shared illicit photos of a victim online.

Police said that on Aug. 8, 2025, a woman went to headquarters to report a possible crime. Following an investigation, authorities determined that Daniel J. Westergaard, 24, of Succasunna, allegedly shared illicit photos of her on the internet.

Westergaard was contacted and later responded to police headquarters, where he was arrested without incident, officials said.

He was charged with invasion of privacy and released pending a court hearing.
