ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Florida man was seriously injured after his SUV struck the rear of a dump truck on Interstate 80 in Roxbury Township early Wednesday morning, according to New Jersey State Police.
Troopers responded to the crash at 5:31 a.m. on I-80 east at milepost 31.6, state police said.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Mack dump truck and a Ford SUV were traveling east when the Ford struck the rear of the dump truck.
The driver of the Ford, a 34-year-old man from Orlando, Florida, sustained serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital, state police said.
The driver’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.
