The Mega Millions® jackpot continues to soar, reaching an estimated $843 million — or $391.7 million in cash — ahead of the next drawing on Friday, November 7, after no ticket matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing.
The winning numbers for the November 4 drawing were 11, 14, 17, 50, 57, and the gold Mega Ball 6.
Friday’s drawing will mark the 38th consecutive drawing without a jackpot winner since the prize was last won in Virginia on June 27, making this the longest streak without a jackpot win since Mega Millions began in 2002. The previous record of 37 drawings was set in January 2021, when a $1.05 billion jackpot was hit in Michigan.
Jackpot wins are unpredictable, and organizers note that they can occur in back-to-back drawings or after weeks of rollovers.
While no player has yet matched all six numbers, winners continue to collect prizes at other levels. So far during this jackpot run, there have been almost 11.7 million winning tickets nationwide, totaling more than $274 million in prizes. That includes 17 second-tier prizes worth $1 million or more, boosted by multipliers in multiple states.
According to lottery officials, there have also been 256 third-tier winning tickets worth between $20,000 and $100,000, won across 40 different states.
In the November 4 drawing alone, there were 606,046 winning tickets across all prize tiers, totaling more than $12.2 million in winnings. Twelve tickets matched four white balls plus the Mega Ball to win third-tier prizes ranging from $20,000 to $40,000.
The last Mega Millions jackpot was won in Virginia on June 27 for $348 million. Other jackpots awarded earlier this year include $112 million in Ohio (April 18), $349 million in Illinois (March 25), and $112 million in Arizona (January 17).
The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302.6 million. Drawings take place every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
