M&M’S to give away free PB&J packed lunches featuring new candy on July 29
M&M’S®, a brand under Mars Wrigley, is offering fans a nostalgic break from the workday with a sweet twist on a classic lunch. On July 29, the candy maker will give away 500 free PB&J Packed Lunch Specials, complete with a collectible M&M’S tin and a taste of its new M&M’S Peanut Butter & Jelly chocolate candies.
The promotion, launched with the help of Fooji, aims to remind adults of simpler times, when lunch breaks meant peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, not packed calendars. Each lunch will be assembled with a note from TV mom Kim Rhodes, bringing a comforting throwback to childhood.
“Fun is what makes M&M’S such a beloved brand, and sometimes that means taking a trip down memory lane,” said Martin Terwilliger, vice president of marketing for Mars Wrigley North America. “We’re reviving the universal charm of a classic PB&J lunch and offering adults a delicious escape from daily duties.”
Fans in select markets can visit MMS.com/PBJ-Packed-Lunch between noon and 6 p.m. Eastern on July 29 to order their free lunch while supplies last. Each box includes two packs of the new PB&J M&M’S — one to enjoy and one to share.
M&M’S Peanut Butter & Jelly candies are now available at retailers nationwide and online at MMS.com in single (1.63 oz.), share (2.83 oz.), and sharing stand-up pouch (8.6 oz.) sizes.
