Morris County courthouse complex to delay public opening May 21 for emergency drill

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — The Morris County Courthouse Complex and several nearby county government buildings will open later than usual Thursday morning due to a scheduled emergency preparedness drill, county officials announced.

According to Morris County officials, the courthouse complex, the Administration and Records Building and offices at 30 Schuyler Place will remain closed to the public until 11 a.m. May 21 while the exercise is conducted.

County employees will report to work at their regularly scheduled times during the drill, officials said.

The county said the exercise is part of its ongoing emergency preparedness and public safety efforts.

Normal public access and operations are expected to resume at 11 a.m. Thursday.
