Morris County man, 22, killed in single-vehicle crash on I-295, state police say

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Mercer County) – A 22-year-old Morris Plains Borough man died in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Mercer County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at around 3:44 a.m. on Interstate 295 northbound at milepost 63 in Hamilton Township, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Honda, driven by Cameron Boyle, was traveling northbound when it lost directional control, ran off the roadway to the right, impacting a tree and then a concrete bridge support, Lebron said.

As a result of the crash, Boyle suffered fatal injuries, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation and no further details were available, Lebron said.
