Morris County player wins $163,021 in New Jersey Lottery Fast Play game

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — A Morris County lottery player won $163,021 after purchasing a winning Fast Play Progressive ticket, New Jersey Lottery officials said.

The winning Merry Money ticket was drawn Wednesday, Dec. 17, and paid out 50% of the Fast Play Progressive jackpot. The $5 ticket was sold at the Parsippany Shell gas station, located at 25 Route 46 East in Parsippany-Troy Hills.

Following the win, the Fast Play Progressive jackpot reset and is now estimated at $175,315, lottery officials said.

Fast Play Progressive tickets are sold at lottery retailers statewide and allow players to instantly see whether they have won. Each Fast Play Progressive game contributes to a shared jackpot, with the portion awarded depending on the ticket price.

Under the game rules, $30, $20 and $10 Fast Play Progressive tickets win 100% of the jackpot, while $5 tickets win 50%. Tickets priced at $2 win 20% of the jackpot, and $1 tickets win 10%.
