Morris County teen earns prestigious Eagle Scout rank
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — The Washington Township Police Department is congratulating local Scout Robert Brobst on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, a distinction earned by fewer than five percent of all Scouts nationwide.
Brobst has been a member of Boy Scout Troop 436 for the past seven years, taking on several leadership roles including patrol leader, assistant senior patrol leader and senior patrol leader. He was inducted into the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s national honor society, and was nominated to attend National Youth Leadership Training.
Brobst also participated in multiple High Adventure programs, completing Sea Base, a 105-mile canoe trek in Maine and a 145-mile trek at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico.
According to the department, his “dedication, leadership, and service to the community make this achievement truly well deserved.”
“Congratulations, Eagle Scout Robert Brobst,” the department said in its announcement.
