Mosquito spraying set for Saturday in 5 Morris County towns

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Crews are scheduled to conduct mosquito control spraying in several Morris County communities on Saturday following an increase in adult mosquito populations, officials announced.

Weather permitting, treatments will take place Saturday, Aug. 23, between 4 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. using all-terrain vehicles, according to county officials.

Spraying is planned in the following locations:

  • Butler — Grace Valley Road (Stony Brook Pool)
  • Kinnelon — William Lewis Arthur Drive (Silas Condict Park)
  • Lincoln Park — Ryerson Road (Hidden Cove Park)
  • Montville — Jacksonville Road (Camp Dawson)
  • Pequannock — Bedford Drive

Officials said the application will involve either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient Sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains the active ingredient Etofenprox.
