Mosquito treatment scheduled Saturday in 3 Morris County towns

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — The Morris County Mosquito Commission has scheduled mosquito control treatments in portions of Jefferson, Roxbury and Lincoln Park on Saturday morning due to increased adult mosquito populations.

Weather permitting, crews will conduct treatments between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. on May 30 using all-terrain vehicles in wooded areas.

The treatment locations include Weldon Road in Jefferson, Ajax Terrace in Roxbury, and Gettysburg Way and Robertson Way, including nearby wooded areas, in Lincoln Park.

According to the commission, applicators will use either Anvil 2+2, which contains the active ingredient Sumithrin, or Zenivex E4, which contains Etofenprox.

Officials said the treatments are being conducted in response to elevated mosquito activity in the affected areas.
