Motorcyclist killed in fiery crash in Morris County

PARSIPPANY-TROY HILLS, NJ (Morris County) – A motorcyclist was killed in a fiery crash in Parsippany-Troy Hills Wednesday afternoon, according to Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Public Information Officer Meghan Knab.

On Aug. 21, at around 4:00 p.m., the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office was notified of a serious collision that occurred in the area of 100 Parsippany Road, Knab said.

Police responded to the reported collision involving a motorcycle and a Kia Sportage, in which both vehicles became engulfed in flames, Knab said.

The motorcyclist was transported to Morristown Medical Center and was pronounced dead, Knab said.

The driver of the Sportage was transported to an area hospital, Knab said.

Their identities were not released.

The crash remains under investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department, and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office.
