Motorcyclist killed in Sussex County crash with pickup, state police say

WANTAGE TOWSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County) — A motorcyclist from Hudson County was killed Saturday night in a collision with a pickup truck in Sussex County, authorities said.

Troopers responded to the crash at 8:14 p.m. on State Highway 23 North at milepost 47.9 in Wantage Township, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police.

A preliminary investigation found that a Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Ishavpreet Singh, 36, of Guttenberg, was traveling south on the highway when it crossed the yellow centerline and struck a northbound Ford pickup, Lebron said.

Singh sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. The driver and passenger in the Ford suffered minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information was immediately available.
