Mount Olive Township starts diversity committee

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Mount Olive Township has started a diversity committee that was established by Mayor Joe Nicastro.

Nicastro says the committee’s mission is to enrich our community by embracing and celebrating the diverse cultures, values, and beliefs of our residents.

The Diversity Committee, led by Chairperson Ron Ghoshal, will focus on gathering cultural knowledge and sharing it with the town. Through education, celebration, and acknowledgment, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the rich diversity within our community, Nicasto said.

The inaugural meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 19 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at the Mount Olive Township Municipal Complex, 204 Flanders-Drakestown Road, Nicasto said.

“We invite everyone interested in participating or learning more about the committee to attend. This marks the beginning of what we hope will be a long-term and impactful program for Mount Olive, Nicasto said.
