New Jersey-bound travel to be restricted to two lanes at I-78 toll bridge Sept. 27-28

Eastbound travel at the I-78 toll bridge is scheduled to be restricted to two travel lanes (one of three lanes closed) 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday Sept.. 27, and Thursday, Sept. 28, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

The travel restrictions are needed to allow work crews to make drainage repairs at the New Jersey end of the bridge’s eastbound span, the commission said.

Travel impacts are expected to be minor. Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution when work zones are in effect, the commission said.
