New Jersey’s All-Hazards Incident Management Team deploys to Georgia for Hurricane Helene recovery efforts

NEW JERSEY – New Jersey State Police Lieutenant Colonel Christopher DeMaise, Homeland Security Branch Commander, expressed his deepest gratitude on Sunday to 14 members of New Jersey’s All-Hazards Incident Management Team (NJ-AHIMT) as they prepare to deploy to Georgia to aid in recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene.

The NJ-AHIMT is a highly efficient, multidisciplinary, and multijurisdictional emergency management team trained to handle complex events and incidents nationwide.

The deployed team members will provide essential support in areas such as ground operations, facilities management, resource allocation, public messaging, and safety oversight.

Lieutenant Colonel DeMaise wished the team good luck and safety during their mission, commending them for their service and dedication to helping those affected by the hurricane.
