NY Jets players visit St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center to support pet adoption, fundraising efforts

MADISON BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – The New York Jets are helping shelter pets find new, loving homes just in time for the holidays.

Jets players Irv Charles and Jarrick Bernard-Converse paid a visit to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center on December 3, where they had the chance to cuddle with adorable dogs and cats available for adoption at the Madison Borough shelter.

In partnership with MetLife Pet Insurance, the Jets are teaming up with St. Hubert’s to help homeless pets. The visit coincided with Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving. St. Hubert’s is currently fundraising to replace outdated equipment crucial to the care of its animals.

The shelter is hoping to purchase a new industrial-grade washer and dryer, as well as a permanent generator. The generator will keep the shelter running during power outages and extreme weather, preventing the loss of refrigerated medicines, vaccines, and other supplies. The new washer and dryer will allow the shelter to provide fresh, clean bedding for each animal daily.
