Off-peak daytime lane closures scheduled for Easton-Phillipsburg Toll Bridge inspections May 19-23

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced scheduled lane closures on the Easton-Phillipsburg (Route 22) Toll Bridge for biennial inspections during the week of May 18.

Westbound (Pennsylvania-bound) traffic will be reduced to a single lane, with one of two lanes open, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 19, through Wednesday, May 21.

Eastbound (New Jersey-bound) traffic will be reduced to a single lane, with one of two lanes open, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 22, and Friday, May 23.

Travel delays are not anticipated.

Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and exercise caution while traveling through cordoned areas where bridge inspection activities are underway.

The scheduled lane closures are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, or other factors, officials said.
