One person injured in Sussex County structure fire

SPARTA TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – One person was injured in a structure fire on Wednesday evening in Sussex County.

The fire occurred at a small barn/detached garage located at 95 West Mountain Road in Sparta Township, according to police.

The Sparta Fire Department responded to suppress the flames, police said.

One individual was reported to have sustained injuries due to smoke inhalation and was treated by EMS personnel on scene, police said.

The Sparta Police Department and Fire Marshal are investigating the cause of the fire, police said.
