Overnight lane closures scheduled on I-287 South in Morris County for roadway repairs

MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Overnight lane closures are scheduled this week along I-287 southbound between Exit 57 (Skyline Drive) in Oakland and Exit 47 (Route 202) in Montville as the New Jersey Department of Transportation continues proactive roadway repairs.

Single and double lane closures will begin at 9 p.m. Monday, June 30, and continue through 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 1. The same overnight schedule will be in place Tuesday and Wednesday nights. At least one travel lane will remain open at all times.

The repair work is part of an effort to prevent potential damage to the concrete roadway from extreme heat.

Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution, and move over when possible while traveling through work zones.

The schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change. Drivers are encouraged to check www.511nj.org for real-time traffic updates and construction alerts.
