Overnight single-lane travel on I-78 eastbound in Warren County July 29-Aug. 2

WARREN COUNTY, NJ – Interstate 78 eastbound is scheduled to be reduced to a single travel lane from the I-78 toll bridge’s Pennsylvania approach to the Phillipsburg/Routes 22, 122, 173 interchange (Exit 3) in Warren County during weekday overnight hours from July 29 through Aug. 2, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

The single-lane travel restriction is expected to be in effect 6:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (next day) Monday through Friday, allowing for highway milling and paving work, the commission said.

Travel delays are possible, although traffic volumes are lightest during overnight hours. Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution when traveling through active work areas, the commission said.

The schedule is subject to change due to weather, emergencies and other considerations, the commission said.
