Owner of Morris County clothing store accused of recording employees using bathroom

ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – The owner of a Roxbury Township clothing store has been charged for allegedly recording employees using the bathroom, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.

Nicholas Zirpoli, 35, of Lincoln Park Borough, owner and operator of Plato’s Closet on Route 46, has been charged with nine counts of third-degree invasion of privacy, and fourth-degree tampering with evidence.

On or about Feb. 26, Zirpoli allegedly used a device to video record several male and female employees utilizing the restroom at Plato’s Closet and then destroying evidence related to these acts, Carroll said.

Zirpoli was charged and then remanded to the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a first court appearance. He was subsequently released on pre-trial monitoring conditions on Dec. 13 in accordance with the Criminal Justice Reform Act, Carroll said.
