Pa. State Police seek public’s help identifying man found dead in Delaware River

UPPER MOUNT BETHEL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Northampton County) — The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M – Belfast Criminal Investigation Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a deceased man found in the Delaware River on Sunday, May 25.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the river near Slateford Road in Upper Mount Bethel Township, Northampton County, where an unidentified male was discovered.

The man is described as either Caucasian or Hispanic, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He was wearing a red, extra-large Under Armour T-shirt, size 34×30 Wrangler pants, a brown braided leather belt with a gold buckle, and size 12 Redwing work boots.

Investigators noted three black-ink tattoos on the man’s body:

  • A Fox Racing logo on his upper right arm
  • A Native American headdress on his upper left arm, similar in design to the former Washington Redskins NFL logo
  • A religious cross on his inner right forearm with the words “Death” at the top, “Before” in the center, and “Dishonor” at the bottom
