RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Route 31 in Hunterdon County, with the driver returning to the scene shortly after the accident, according to police.

The pedestrian, identified as a 52-year-old female from Stockton, was attempting to cross Route 31 from the northbound side when she was struck by a silver Honda Fit traveling northbound. After the collision, the driver of the Honda initially left the scene but returned shortly afterward, police said.
